We carefully planned a 52-day camping road trip to the Western United States for more than two years before our scheduled departure on June 22, 2006. There were hundreds of logistical details that we had to see to before we were ready to hitch up our Coleman pop-up trailer to our minivan and hit the road. We were overwhelmed by the number of friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers who expressed an interest in receiving updates on our adventure, so we established this blog. Thank you for reading and sharing your comments.

Professional help has arrived!

I'd like to thank my brother, Jonathan, for helping to whip this blog into shape. It's good to have an IT go-to guy in the family!

If you want to see an even more snappy design, render yourself lucid at his blog.

Hi, you guys:
We're so excited about reading your blog! Great way to keep everyone informed. We lived in Colorado for 17 years, so if you need any advice about that part of the country just let us know. If you're anywhere near Breckenridge, the kids would love the alpine slide (little cars you ride on that shoot down the side of the ski area slopes in the summer).
Cheers,
Your house guests, Bob and Kitty Bennett
