We carefully planned a 52-day camping road trip to the Western United States for more than two years before our scheduled departure on June 22, 2006. There were hundreds of logistical details that we had to see to before we were ready to hitch up our Coleman pop-up trailer to our minivan and hit the road. We were overwhelmed by the number of friends, family members, neighbors, and co-workers who expressed an interest in receiving updates on our adventure, so we established this blog. Thank you for reading and sharing your comments.

Great Idea!! --- we'll be checking. Our Liz is on an archeological dig in Boliva this summer and is also using a BLOG to keep us informed ... and allow comments. Of course, "don't talk with your mouth full", "keep your room neat", and "don't bite your nails" are not appropriate comments since all can read them!
BTW - your site doesn't work with Firefox.

Hi Frank and Family,
What a wonderful idea! You did an outstanding job with planning this project. I read Carroll's comment that says that he doesnt think he could put up with his kids for that long, just think how it would be for Dallas and me.... I dont know what is worse, Dallas putting up with me or me putting up with Dallas. I'll let you decide on that one. hehe

Have a wonderful time - your kids will never forget this. Also, they will need a week to present their "what i did on my summer vacation" oral report when they return to school.

Take care,
Belinda Kopp
